Hey there! My name is Kelly Moses and I am so excited to start my first year of teaching with ADS! I was born and raised in Austin and got my Bachelor’s in Integrated Studies with focuses in Women’s Studies, Anthropology, and Family Studies from the University of North Texas in 2015. Since then, I have worked with children at a Montessori school and at a school in Austin that serves Gifted and Talented students. I have also received my certification to teach EC-6, with endorsements in Special Education and ESL. With my background in specialized education, I strive to make my lessons hands-on, relevant, and engaging while serving the needs of the whole child. I am so happy that I found a place like ADS to start out, as I feel they mirror my values in community, awareness, and innovative education.
As if this year isn’t exciting enough, I am also planning my wedding with my longtime partner, Cj, which will be in next summer in Redondo Beach, CA! Together, we have a black lab who is a frequent swimmer at Red Bud and Town Lake, and loves to accompany us on our kayaking adventures. When I’m not spending time in the great outdoors, you can find me at the library (Yarborough Branch represent!) or experimenting with vegan cookery in my kitchen. Thank you all for welcoming me into your beautiful community and I cannot wait for a fabulous year!
